Empower Work: Anonymous support for tough work situations

Empower Work is a nonprofit founded by Vassar alumna Jaime-Alexis Fowler '08 that provides free, anonymous support for tough work situations. Anyone in the U.S. can immediately connect with a trained peer counselor via text or web chat to feel heard, supported, and if needed, connected to resources. What’s tough varies for each person. Empower Work provides support for a range of issues from microaggressions to ethical dilemmas to separation or offer questions.

Need to chat? Know someone who needs support with a work issue? Text: 510-674-1414.

Empower Work peer counselors are vetted, trained working professionals. Interested in using your management, coaching, or professional skills to help others? Sign up to be a peer counselor: www.empowerwork.org.

Empower Work envisions a world where every person, regardless of where they work or their personal resources, can have an accessible advocate to support their professional journey and equip them with the skills to successfully handle complex work challenges. We’re able to remain free and accessible thanks to generous contributions of our community as well as institutional and corporate philanthropy.
