Vassar students and alumnae/i are regularly accepted by some of the top law schools in the country. 

Law School Application Demographics

On average, more than three-quarters of Vassar applicants are alumnae/i. While alumnae/i compose the greatest proportion of applicants from Vassar, they are not a homogenous group. Alumnae/i can include recent graduates or career changers who have significant life experiences or other advanced degrees, often making them strong candidates in the application process. 45% of our applicants are alumnae/i 1-3 years out and 40% are alumnae/i more than 3 years out. Seniors going directly to law school comprise just 15% of Vassar applicants in a typical year.

Vassar applicants fare exceptionally well in the law school applications' process. In 2012-2013 (the last application cycle for which data has been released), our acceptance rate was 91% compared to a national average of 71%.
