The CDO and the Vassar Club of NY co-sponsor alumnae/i career panels on a variety of topics, including publishing; advertising, marketing, and public relations; entreprenuership; finance, and more.
The CDO regularly sponsors information sessions from a variety of organizations who want to recruit Vassar students. Previous employers who have held information sessions include: Teach for America, Brattle Group, Carney, Sandoe, and Associates, Peace Corps, Morningstar, Inc., US Department of State, JET, and many more.

The CDO regularly sponsors information tables from a variety of organizations who want to recruit Vassar students. These tables typically occur in the College Center North Atrium.

The Fall Recruiting Consortium brings together students from Vassar, Bowdoin, Swarthmore, Sarah Lawrence and Wesleyan Colleges for a day of interviews in New York City with a variety of organizations. This year, the event will be held on Friday, October 28, 2011. For consideration, students must apply by 11:59 pm (EST) on Monday, October 3, 2011.
Each September, the office hosts a Graduate and Professional School Day. Students have the opportunity to talk with admission representatives from over 60 graduate, law and medical school programs.

Throughout the year, a variety of organizations will conduct interviews for jobs and internships here in the office. The U.S. Peace Corps, M&T Bank, Morgan Stanley, Green Corps, and the JET Program, are a few of the many organizations involved in On-Campus Recruiting. Each September, the Career Development Office hosts receptions for the senior and sophomore classes to showcase our services, events, and resources.
The Selective Liberal Arts Consortium sponsors a “virtual” job and internship fair each spring.
The Selective Liberal Arts Consortium offers the opportunity for employers to interview bright, talented students from 14 of the nation’s most selective and competitive liberal arts colleges. They sponsor regional Interview Days for permanent positions and internships held annually in the following cities: Boston, Chicago, New York, Washington DC and San Francisco.
