Amate House is a young adult volunteer program located in Chicago. Each year, 30+ college graduates and 10 undergraduates living at DePaul University devote a year to serving the poor of Chicago. These young adults live in community houses in the neighborhoods where they serve, spend more than forty hours a week performing tasks at financially strapped nonprofits, parishes and schools in the city, and participate in a formation program that encourages them to understand and explore the link between Christian faith and service.

Brethren Volunteer Service (BVS) is a program that gives individuals a chance to advocate for justice, work for peace, serve human needs, and care for creation in a variety of settings in the United States and other countries. Volunteers help people in need by repairing houses damaged by storms, shipping relief supplies around the world, serving as volunteers in dozens of countries, and participating in short-term workcamps.

BUNAC offers a range of opportunities including flexible work and travel programs to Britian, Ireland, Canada, Australia and New Zealand and volunteering placements in South Africa, Peru, and Cambodia. These are open to full-time or gap year students and other young people from both the UK and the USA. Programs last from 8 weeks to eighteen months.
Camphill Soltane is a vibrant community made up of young adults with developmental disabilities, adults with developmental disabilities, and full-time, residential volunteers and families who live, learn, and work together. Volunteers from all over the world join the Camphill Soltane community for at least a year of service focusing on social work, connections to the local community, and education.

Some of the resources are career specific, broken down into particular fields of interest, while others are more general career reference materials. There are domestic and international listings, with tips on interviewing, finding housing, researching prospective companies or colleges, and study guides for standardized graduate school tests. You are encouraged to make full use of the assistance provided by the counselors and CDO peer advisers.
The Center for Purposeful Living is a non-profit, all-volunteer service and education organization. Volunteers have been involved in the center’s catering business, its mentoring and training program for non-profit groups, the production of multimedia shows, and a variety of learning service-oriented programs.

Loch Arthur is a working Community in South West Scotland which includes men and women with learning disabilities. There are nine houses in which altogether more than 70 people live, as well as a farm, a large garden, a creamery, a bakery, a woodworkshop, a weaving workshop and a farm shop. The New Morning Farm hires apprentices to help run the farm, whose primary role is assisting In management of crops, equipment and marketing. They also spend considerable time on jobs such as planting, transplanting, harvesting, packing and selling the produce.

The Newfound Harbor Marine Institute program was started for the purpose of providing experiential marine science education opportunities. Slide Ranch is a non-profit teaching farm located at a historic coastal dairy perched above the ocean in the Marin. Slide Ranch staff operate the farm using a turn of the century farmhouse, old creamery and several outbuildings.
