Get a better idea about going abroad by reading the PDFs below, talking with us or checking out the international resources the CDO offers.

The scope of international-related opportunities for students and recent graduates is quite broad. There are paid and voluntary types of work, as well as academic study and travel programs. Any of these can take place during the summer or after you leave college. So you may be interested in opportunities tagged with jobs, volunteer, internships & summer jobs and study opportunities.

More about Going Abroad:

Going Global

Going Global contains a wide variety of resources for students seeking employment both in the US and abroad.

For students interested in living and working overseas, check out the Country Guides and Jobs/Internships sections. For seekers interested in employment outside the US, the Country Guides contain a wealth of information about the job search nuances and resources for 32 countries.

For international students seeking employment in the US, check out the H1B Plus section. Going Global’s H1B Plus database contains approximately 500,000 records of companies that applied for H1B visas in the prior year, which can help international applicants identify US organizations who sponsor.

Additionally, you can search for organizations by location, industry, earnings and more in the Employer Directory section.

Finally, check out the USA/Canada City Guides for city-specific job search resources.

Current students can create a personal account which will allow future access from a non-Vassar computer.
